CRM and Help Desk solutions such as Salesforce and Zendesk are simple to use, yet they are also powerful by letting you customize your data set to best match your business model.

Today we are proud to announce that SnapABug now leverages this flexibility by enabling you to customize how information collected by SnapABug is loaded into Salesforce CRM or Zendesk Help Desk fields.

To access this new powerful option, simply go to your Widget Configurator, select the “Set Destination” tab and in the “Advanced” section you will find the custom data mapper.

Use it to select any data collected by SnapABug, including JavaScript variables and custom text and map it to a standard or custom field in the destination system.

Note that when using a source type “Text”, you can use any of the following special variables to create the custom text:

{browser} = Browser
{browser_short} = Browser abreviated
{os} = Operating system
{os_short} = OS abreviated
{email} = Requester email
{url} = Website address
{agent} = User agent
{ip} = IP address
{languages} = Languages
{geo} = Full geolocation
{geoCity} = City
{geoRegion} = State
{geoCountry} = Country
{geoCountryCode} = Country Code
{geoLatitude} = Latitude
{geoLongitude} = Longitude
{plugins} = Plugins
{java} = Java version
{flash} = Flash version
{link} = Link to case
{description} = Description
{chatAgentAlias} = Alias of the agent handling the chat
{chatAgentId} = Id of the agent handling the chat
{chatDuration} = Time from the begining and end of the chat
{chatWaitTime} = Time between the chat start and the first response of the agent
{chatTranscript} = Transcript of the chat (or empty)
{sourceType} = Either Message or Live_chat

You can reference instrumented JavaScript variable values as well using the syntax {js:varName} where varName is the JavaScript variable name you specified in the Options tab.

Give it a try and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any question.
